HIW is not a medical provider and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, crisis care, or emergency services through its general educational wellness offerings.

Information collected through HIW is used within the context of the educational, commercial, administrative, and support services described in this policy.

5. Stillpoint and Digital Product Access

When you purchase an HIW digital product that is accessed through Stillpoint or another account-based service, HIW may use transaction and account information to connect the purchase to the appropriate user.

For example, the email address used for a Wix purchase may be matched with the same email address used for the customer's Stillpoint account so that purchased content can be made available.

HIW may maintain records showing that digital access was:

• granted,

• purchased,

• gifted,

• refunded,

• revoked,

• restored, or

• otherwise administered.

A downloadable PDF or other file supplied at checkout may contain access instructions rather than the purchased digital content itself.

6. Payment Processing

HIW may use third-party payment and ecommerce providers to process purchases.

Depending upon the method selected, these providers may include services such as:

• Wix,

• PayPal,

• Stripe, or

• other payment methods made available at checkout.

These providers may independently collect payment information and other information necessary to process a transaction.

Their handling of information may also be governed by their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

Argentina's Law 25.326 provides rights concerning information, access, rectification, updating, and suppression of personal information. Argentina

Users in the European Economic Area may have additional rights under applicable European data-protection law.

HIW may need to verify the identity of a person submitting a privacy request before fulfilling it.

21. Consumer Health Data

Certain wellness information voluntarily provided to HIW may fall within specialized consumer-health-data laws.

Where the Washington My Health My Data Act or another consumer-health-data law applies, HIW will provide the disclosures, choices, consent mechanisms, and rights required by that law.

HIW maintains or will maintain any separate Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy required by applicable law.

22. Children’s Privacy

HIW's general services, accounts, purchases, memberships, and coaching offerings are intended for individuals 18 years of age or older unless a particular offering expressly states otherwise.

HIW does not knowingly seek personal information from children through its general adult services.

If HIW learns that personal information from a minor has been collected in circumstances where legally required authorization was absent, HIW will take reasonable steps to address the information in accordance with applicable law.

HIW websites and applications may contain links to third-party websites, applications, professional resources, payment providers, or other independent services.

HIW does not control the privacy or security practices of independent third parties.

28. Stillpoint Journal Storage & Privacy

Stillpoint stores account information and saved journal content in its cloud service. To support offline access and preserve unsaved writing, copies of journal entries and drafts are also stored in the browser on the device you use.

Account-based access rules separate members’ journals. The optional Privacy Seal covers journal content on screen; it does not encrypt the stored writing. Offline copies can remain on a device after signing out.

For greater privacy, use a personal device protected by a passcode. Keep any exported journal backups somewhere private.

Privacy Commitment

HIW's approach to privacy is grounded in clarity, restraint, and respect.

We seek to collect information for identifiable purposes, protect it with reasonable care, communicate openly about how it is used, and respect the rights individuals have concerning their personal information.

One additional item should go onto our policy list after we finish the existing pages: Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Washington specifically requires a separate policy and a separate homepage link when the My Health My Data Act applies, so I would not consider the privacy work fully finished until we address that page.
